Fresh Finds: A Rare Teak Wall-Mounted Valet by Adam Hoff & Poul Østergaard

. Sunday, August 22, 2010

An elegantly designed dropleaf valet, featuring fingerjointed teak construction, a light blue back panel, a sculpted coathanger and pegs, leather straps with brass hardware, and a recessed tray on the top of the unit. When not in use, the unit folds away compactly, transforming into a shadow-boxed wall sculpture.

This is a fine example of premium Danish craftsmanship and attention to detail, even the middle peg designed slightly longer, as to follow the arch of the hanger when folded.

Many more great finds to come.
