Dropped in on my friend and fellow design dealer Mike Goreski's mini-exhibition at Nils Vik's coffee shop/gallery Parlour Coffee. Mike owns Scandinavian Modern, and has on display some choice works by Wegner, Kofod-Larsen, Mogensen, and Sarpaneva. The floating chair display is fantastic, and wall mounted cabinet by Tove and Edvard Kindt-Larsen, with its sculpted wood handles....WOW.
Parlour Coffee regularly exhibits artwork, so this design exhibit is a nice change of pace. It also seems a natural fit, since the owner Nils is a noted designer himself. Hopefully this will pave the way for more design exhibits, vintage and contemporary, in the future.
