Fresh Finds: Roger Capron Vessels, Minimalist Bench, Modernist Lucite Lamp + More
A rare matched set of Roger Capron oil, vinegar, and honey vessels. Featuring whimsical biomorphic shapes decorated with brightly colored hand-painted glaze, these vessels are from Capron's free-form ceramic series, which were produced from 1949 to 1969.
A fine modernist table lamp featuring a cylindrical steel shade enameled in a bright Pop-era yellow, a chrome tilt-adjustment knob, and a base made from a single sheet of folded white lucite.
A minimalist bench designed with an architectural linearity reminiscent of both Florence Knoll's T-angle series, and George Nelson's Steelframe series. Featuring an enameled steel frame and an upholstered seat cushion in its original bright yellow hopsack.
A nicely detailed alligator leather case with interior mirror. Signed to hardware Made in USA.
A fine Modernist pendant lamp featuring multi-tiered flared louvers of copper and orange enamel, with an arrangement reminiscent of the work of Poul Henningsen. Most likely by Lyfa or Fog & Morup.
Via Modern Love, with many more great finds to come.
