Favorite Picks: Wright: Scandinavian Design
Some of the finest examples of Scandinavian modernism are coming to market at Wright's upcoming May 12th auction, Scandinavian Design. These are my favorite picks:
A lyrical Paavo Tynell chandelier.
A Borge Mogensen cabinet in teak and brass.
A Hans Wegner foldable chaise.
A set of 6 leather PK 6 chairs by Poul Kjaerholm.
A lounge chair by Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm.
Rare Scimitar chairs chairs also by Preben Fabricius and Jorgen Kastholm.
A pair of adjustable brass chandeliers by Bertil Brisborg.
A rare segmented lounge chair by Poul Volther.
See the full preview at Wright.
The pendant light is GORGEOUS! One of a kind piece! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI always look with great interest to Wright auctions, they have flair and choice. And I would like to ask: do you ever come back and look at the results, to check what has been over or under estimated? I do. This time I found striking this Finn Juhl piece: http://www.wright20.com/auctions/view/LN57/LN58/222/LA/none/L430/0
ReplyDeleteAnd besides, also beautiful pieces not sold. Lessons learned?
Of course. In my business, research is everything and auction results are one of the many tools in the trade.
