Spaces: David Scott's 13 week renovation in New York

. Sunday, June 14, 2009

"....the complete gut renovation took only 13 weeks from demo to move-in...."

This rich interior includes some rather impressive pieces, including a blue velvet T.H. Robsjohn-Gibbings lounge and ottoman for Widdicomb; Gerald Thurston brass floor lamp for Lightolier; a Paul McCobb credenza in travertine, mahogany, and brass; a sculptural Phillip Lloyd Powell coffee table in walnut, gold leaf, and slate; Paul McCobb Planner Group dining chairs; and a lacquered desk chair which I believe is by Guglielmo Ulrich.

I love EVERYTHING about this. I could be very happy in this setting. Fabulous work. Even though I'm a designer, I'm not a design blog fan...they are all so "twee" and Domino mag inspired, which I never understood the fascination. I'm loving yours.

For me, the color palette is perfect. Almost reminds me of Frank Roop, but a little softer.
